The video has been witnessed around the world with many asking why did this happen and what provoked this type of violent act? It is a question Derrion's mother is searching for as she prepares for the funeral of her son. A case of gone too soon. What is happening to our youth? This could have been easily a case overlooked by the media if it wasn't caught on video tape. A tape that has made its way across the globe and it even has celebs asking why. Now it is up to us, to stand up and do something. As a parent I am fearful for my children in a World that has no sense of right from wrong and where kids Today have no sense of direction. It isn't enough to be a parent, an aunt, uncle or grandparent. We have to stay on our kids, guide them, and know what they are doing at all times. We can't just send our kids out into the world and hope for the best. That is not parenting at all. We are the adults, the mentors, and we should be doing our part. It use to be a time when we didn't have to worry as much but those days are long gone. Wake up people. We are losing are kids everyday to random acts of violence. Some of the suspects in the case have been caught but their are others. Those who simply just watched, you are equally as guilty. It might sound cold but it's the truth.
