Yes, Reid went home but do you really think it's over? Not a chance, he will be back and that was just a smoke screen for what is to come. Jillian sent him home, yes shoot us for that, we will get the goods before next week. More later after we have a few drinks for the dearly departed.
Updated 9:11PM- The video on ABC homepage that shows preview for tonight show, at the end when someone walks through the door is Reid. If you can get a slow motion of that video, you will get a glimpse of Reid's glasses. Ha!
Updated 7/14/09- Men Tell All is up next week and sure enough, it has already been taped without Wes and Reid. ABC is likely still pissed-off with Wes self-promotion and backlashing of his time on the bachelor. Reid did not appear because we all know, he is Mr. Invincible. Don't kid yourself and think ABC is not loving every minute of the lovefest that really took place last night between Reid and Jillian when she let him go. Did you see her whisper to him and then he smiled before getting into the limo? I know you saw it and replayed it over again. Jillian mouthed, "call me" and smiled and Reid turns and says, "good luck" smiles and gets into the limo. Come on ABC, it is obvious. It doesn't look like the end for the two of them at all and Jillian wanted so desperately to hear the words Reid had a hard time expressing. The funny thing about men is some are slow as snails when it comes to expressing how they feel, and for whatever reason, Reid just couldn't get the words out. I'm pretty sure when he said in the limo that he is falling for her, he was cursing himself. There was a lot of pressure with the cameras and in a situation that is really unrealistic to life itself, the pressure got the better of him. Can't say I blame him, it's understandable.
Rest assure, he will be back and that doesn't mean they will walk off into the sunset together. I will say, I believe he tells her how he feels but it could be too late. We will see. As for Ed, I was so through with those 70's gym shorts he had on and that ugly tank top that I nearly spit my drink out. What the H.E. Double L was he thinking? And, his outfit at the rose ceremony wasn't any better. The fact that a lot of camera time was spent on Ed and Jillian last night gave a lot of Ed fans the false perception that a love story is really unfolding between the two. Trickery will get you everywhere and the kind of savvy editing and voice overs are creating a false suspense while at the same time boosting the shows rating.
Lastly, poor Kiptyn. He had to feel really uncomfortable when Jillian let go of Reid, and Ed went to make sure she was okay and then they come back together holding hands. I guess the poor guy was thinking, "why the hell am I here?" as Ed surely thinks he has this in the bag. Kiptyn is getting the short end of the stick here because Jillian is so into Ed that he is fading into the background.
More later, when I get over Ed and those pathetic shorts and I'm from Chicago, and I know I haven't seen those fugly things on the beach.
Updated 7/13/08 9:35PM- I replayed this clip til I was blue in the face, and if you look real close, this person has on glasses. Watch the clip a few times, notice the door open, look closely and there is a picture or mirror on the wall outside the room that throws you off, but if you pause at the right second, you catch a small glimpse at the frame of glasses.
Notice small circle at the left side of the eye. That is not from the picture on wall.
